Using UK Unlocked

UK Unlocked is a directory and planning tool for UK attractions, offered for personal, non-commercial use. You may browse, search and plan freely. You may not scrape, bulk copy or republish our directory, interfere with the site or attempt to access other people's accounts or data.

Accounts

Some features need a free account. Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under it. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Travel records and journeys

Statuses, notes and saved journeys are stored for your own use. We aim to keep them available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that data will never be lost — keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Planning suggestions, distances, timings and prices are estimates: always check opening times, access, prices and travel arrangements with the place or operator before you travel.

Acceptable use

Do not submit anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, misleading, defamatory, obscene, or infringing someone else's rights, and do not use the site to send spam or to collect other users' information.

Content you submit

Photographs, reviews, notes and suggestions you send remain yours. You are responsible for what you submit and you confirm you have the right to submit it. Everything submitted for publication is reviewed by an administrator, and we may publish, decline or later remove anything at our discretion — submission does not guarantee publication.

By submitting a photograph for publication you give UK Unlocked a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, resize and display it on the site and in related promotion of the site, with the credit you supply. You keep your copyright. Full detail is in the Photographer Guidelines.

Removing content

If you believe something on UK Unlocked infringes your rights or should not be published, tell us through the contact page with enough detail to identify it and we will review and, where appropriate, remove it.

Accuracy of site content

Our attraction information, locations, map pins, scores and rankings are compiled from various sources and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Scores and rankings are our own editorial judgement, not an official rating. The site is provided as it is, without warranties, and we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of it.

Third-party links and services

The site links to and embeds third-party services such as maps, image sources and attraction websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their terms.

Intellectual property

The UK Unlocked name, design, written content, structure and compiled directory belong to us or our licensors, except for third-party photographs used under their own licences and content submitted by users. You may not reuse them commercially without permission.

Unlock Your UK

Unlock Your UK is the additional feature set covering the full personalised recommendation library and the Detailed Planned Journey planner. During our limited-time launch offer it is claimed for £0.00 and gives lifetime access to those features on your account: no payment is taken, and there is no subscription or recurring charge. You need a free account to claim it, and it can be claimed once per account. We may end the launch offer at any time, after which new claims may be charged; access already granted to your account is not affected.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account, or remove content, where these terms are broken or where use of the site harms other users or the service. You may stop using the site or ask us to close your account at any time.

Changes

We may change the site, its features and these terms as UK Unlocked develops. The version published here is the one that applies. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current terms.
