About
About UK Unlocked
Discover the UK. Your way. UK Unlocked is a directory and planning tool for the United Kingdom's places worth visiting — castles and coastlines, museums and market towns, railways, reserves, stadiums and everything in between.
The idea
Most travel sites tell everybody the same thing. UK Unlocked is built the other way round: you become your own travel guide. Mark what you have visited, what you are interested in, what you have planned and what you would happily do again, and the site shapes itself around those choices — the map, the recommendations and the journeys you plan.
How it works
- DISCOVER
- EXPLORE
- PLAN
- VISIT
- RECORD
- LEARN
- RECOMMEND
- DISCOVER AGAIN
Discover places through search, categories and the map. Explore each place in detail. Plan a journey around them. Visit, then record how it went in your own travel record. Learn more as you go, get better recommendations because of it, and start discovering again.
