Cookie Policy

This page lists what UK Unlocked stores in your browser today. "Cookies" here also covers local and session storage, which the site uses in the same way.

Sign-in storage

When you sign in, our authentication provider stores a session token in your browser so you stay signed in between pages and visits, and refreshes it while you keep using the site. Signing out removes it. If you block this storage you will not be able to sign in or keep a travel record.

Short-lived session storage

If you choose a status on an attraction while signed out, that single choice is held in session storage while you sign in, then applied to your account and cleared. It is discarded when you close the tab.

Google Analytics 4

We load Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-K6WYC75NGW) on every page. It sets its own cookies — typically _ga and an ID-specific _ga_* cookie — to distinguish browsers and sessions, and reports page views and basic device, browser, referral and approximate-location information to Google as our analytics provider. These cookies usually last up to two years unless you delete them. Analytics currently loads for everyone visiting the site; there is no on-site opt-in or opt-out control at the moment.

Third-party storage

Map tiles, fonts and images are served from third-party providers, and our payment provider's checkout may set its own storage if you open it. Those providers may set cookies or local storage under their own policies.

Controlling cookies

Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site storage, and browser or extension settings can block Google Analytics specifically. Blocking analytics does not affect the rest of the site; blocking sign-in storage does. Questions about any of this can go to the contact page. More detail on the data itself is in the Privacy Policy.
